dc.description.abstractThe heterogeneity of biological surfaces has been intensively and widely studied and discussed in the last few decades. The membrane of various phospholipid components, as a critical prototype of biological surfaces, can separate into different domains at the air-water interface, with distinct compositions and structures. The main challenge in understanding many intermolecular interactions between phosphatidylcholines and bioactive molecules is the ability to chemically study surface heterogeneity. Langmuir Blodgett (LB) monolayers are widely used as standard models for cell membranes.
