Synthesis of organophosphorous hydrazides and structurally related compounds

Quarternary ammonium compounds generally possess anticholinergic activity. An example of this is the ganglionic Mocking agent, hexa-methonium chloride: (CHg)g-N+-(CH[subscript 2])[subscript 6]-N+-(CH[subscript 3])[subscript 3] 2 Cl -. Procarbzine, which has the structure: (p-CH[subscript 2]-NH-NH-CH[subscript 3]PhCONHCH(CH[subscript 3])[subscript 2] is an antineoplastic agent. The hydrazine moiety in this compound appears with frequency in antineoplastic agents.
