Abstract
For certain situations encountered in plasma physics, information in a signal distored by a transmission line of known filter characteristics can be retrieved by the inverse filetering technique of Pulse Resynthesis. Information loss in coaxial transmission lines at frequencies above a few tens of megahertz becomes increasingly severe. Calculations of distortions are performed for pulses between two and ten nanoseconds. Three pulses, as they appeared before line distortion, are resynthesized.
