This study consisted of a comparison of the reading achievement of students enrolled in remedial reading with a similar group which was not enrolled in remedial reading in the spring of 1960 at Burbank Junior High School, Houston, Texas. Specifically this study was designed to answer the question: was there a significant difference in the achievement of these students?
