Abstract
It was the purpose of this study to: (1) identify the new topics in the eleventh and twelfth grade college preparatory mathematics programs; (2) develop a manual for one of these topics, matrix algebra, for in-service education of mathematics teachers; and (3) investigate experimentally the use of the manual in matrix algebra with high school students and with in-service mathematics teachers.
