Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the Teacher Retirement System of Texas with respect to five factors, purpose, prudence, adequacy, justice, and efficiency, and to analyze other types of retirement plans for teachers on the same basis in order to form a comparison between each of them and the teacher retirement plan in operation in Texas. This study has made available timely, accurate information concerning state teacher retirement.
