Abstract
Tungsten borides for water splitting performances can be optimized through the ball-milling and hot-pressing technique. Previous techniques for the synthesis of tungsten borides were a combination of electrochemical techniques, where the overpotentials were high which makes them very inefficient electrocatalysts and having very low current densities. The ball-milling and hot-pressing method decreases the overpotentials and increases the current densities. For tungsten borides to work as electrocatalysts, the chemical structure has the optimized so that it decreases the charge transfer resistance.
