Abstract

Purpose of the Study. The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between aggression (as measured by the Rosensweig Picture-Frustration Study) and language usage. Subjects. The subjects were forty-seven students in an elementary psychology class at the University of Houston, Houston, Texas whose ages ranged from nineteen to thirty-nine. Thirty-four of the group were male, and thirteen female. Testing Procedure. The group was administered the Adult Form of the Resensweig Picture-Frustration Study, and then each subject wrote a short story within a twenty minute period.
