Abstract
The purpose of this study was the development of a technique for predicting pupil acceptability to high school teachers. It was proposed to develop, standardize, and validate a temperament type test to be used as one predictor of acceptability and to combine this predictor with an intelligence test for more effective prediction. It was suggested that the use of these predictors, at the time of pupil enrollment in high school, would enable the counselor or principal to help the least acceptable pupils make a better adjustment to high school. Such a technique would also be of assistance to the headmaster or principal of a private high school or academy in the selection of pupils for enrollment.
